“I know one thing: that I know nothing.” – Socrates
Do you always think that you’re always right?
When someone gives you a suggestion do you say, “Pft, I know way better than you.”
Do you get hurt when someone challenges you?
I’ve been there.
I used to think I knew everything and the perfect way to do everything – work out, build my business, date…
Yet I was not doing well in any of these areas.
These days my ego still wants to believe it’s right because I’m used to all the A+s and perfect scores…
But the more I listen to other people who have figured it out much better, or take something I see that might work…
The faster I’m improving.
Drop your ego and accept that you might be wrong. It’s hard but it’s the only way to truly improve.
We learn from others and other resources.
If you stay convinced you are right all the time…
You will fail.
…Or you’ll succeed MUCH slower than you could.
If someone, who has proven success makes a suggestion, at least TRY it if you aren’t doing so well.
The results might surprise you.
